Shipping and Delivery
Effective Date: July 17, 2026
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to products purchased through www.thescholarstreasure.org and to private collection acquisitions facilitated through The Scholars’ Treasure.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Refund & Returns Policy, Privacy Policy, and any transaction-specific terms provided for a private collection acquisition.
1. General Shipping Policy
The Scholars’ Treasure takes reasonable care in preparing, packaging, and arranging shipment of products purchased through our Website.
Shipping methods, costs, processing times, delivery estimates, insurance requirements, and available destinations may vary depending on the type, value, size, availability, and destination of the item being shipped.
Books and ordinary online store purchases are generally fulfilled through our standard order process. Rare, limited-edition, high-value, or otherwise collectible items may require individually arranged shipping and delivery procedures.
2. Order Processing
Orders are generally processed after payment has been successfully received and any necessary order verification has been completed.
Processing time refers to the time required to prepare an order for shipment and is separate from the time required by the carrier to deliver the shipment.
Orders placed on weekends, holidays, or outside normal business hours may begin processing on the next applicable business day.
Processing may take longer for high-value collectible acquisitions, personalized or special-order products, orders requiring additional verification, or shipments requiring specialized packaging, insurance, or delivery arrangements.
3. Shipping Rates
For standard online store purchases, available shipping methods and applicable shipping charges may be calculated and displayed during checkout.
Shipping charges may vary based on the destination, package dimensions, weight, selected delivery method, insurance requirements, and other applicable factors.
Shipping costs for private collection acquisitions may be determined separately and communicated to the purchaser before the transaction is completed.
4. Delivery Estimates
Any delivery dates or transit times provided through the Website, checkout process, order confirmation, shipping carrier, or other communication are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
Estimated delivery times generally begin after an order has been processed and transferred to the shipping carrier.
Carrier delays, weather, natural disasters, holidays, customs processing, governmental actions, transportation disruptions, incorrect delivery information, security reviews, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery times.
The Scholars’ Treasure does not guarantee a particular delivery date unless that guarantee is expressly provided in writing as part of a specific transaction.
5. Shipping Confirmation and Tracking
When tracking information is available, customers may receive a shipping confirmation containing the applicable tracking information after an order has been transferred to the carrier.
Tracking information may require time to become active in the carrier’s system after a shipping label has been created or the package has been accepted.
Customers are encouraged to monitor tracking information and promptly contact us if a shipment appears to experience an unusual delay or delivery issue.
6. Shipping Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address when placing an order or completing a private acquisition.
Please review your shipping information carefully before submitting an order. If you discover an error, contact us as soon as possible at info@thescholarstreasure.org.
We cannot guarantee that a shipping address can be changed after an order has entered fulfillment or been transferred to a carrier.
Additional shipping, handling, redirection, or reshipment costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the purchaser may be the responsibility of the purchaser, except where otherwise required by law.
7. Private Collection Acquisitions
Rare, limited-edition, unique, previously owned, or high-value collectible writing instruments acquired through The Scholars’ Treasure Collection may require shipping and delivery procedures different from ordinary online store purchases.
Before completing a private acquisition, The Scholars’ Treasure may establish transaction-specific delivery terms addressing matters such as:
- Shipping method and carrier;
- Specialized or protective packaging;
- Declared value and shipping insurance;
- Adult or direct signature confirmation;
- Identity or delivery-address verification;
- Delivery location restrictions;
- Shipping and insurance costs;
- Inspection following delivery;
- Risk of loss or damage in transit; and
- Other measures reasonably appropriate to protect the purchaser and the collectible item.
If transaction-specific written shipping or delivery terms conflict with this general Shipping & Delivery Policy with respect to a private acquisition, the transaction-specific terms will control to the extent of that conflict.
8. Insurance for High-Value Collectibles
The Scholars’ Treasure may require shipping insurance for high-value collectible acquisitions.
The amount and type of insurance, responsibility for insurance costs, declared value, carrier requirements, and claims procedures may be established as part of the individual acquisition process.
Purchasers should retain all packaging, shipping documentation, photographs, and other relevant materials if a high-value shipment arrives damaged, appears to have been tampered with, or is otherwise involved in a potential insurance claim.
9. Signature Requirements
Certain shipments may require a signature upon delivery. High-value collectible acquisitions may require adult signature confirmation, direct signature confirmation, or another secure delivery method.
If a signature is required, the purchaser is responsible for making reasonable arrangements to ensure that an authorized recipient is available to accept delivery.
Carrier procedures regarding missed delivery attempts, pickup locations, delivery holds, or subsequent delivery attempts are governed by the applicable carrier.
10. Identity and Address Verification
For certain transactions, particularly high-value collectible acquisitions, The Scholars’ Treasure may take reasonable steps to verify the purchaser’s identity, payment authorization, billing address, shipping address, or other transaction information before releasing an item for shipment.
We may delay shipment while reasonable verification is being completed and may decline or cancel a transaction when reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, unauthorized payment activity, security concerns, or applicable legal requirements.
Any personal information collected for verification purposes will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Secure Delivery of Collectible Items
For security reasons, The Scholars’ Treasure may restrict certain high-value shipments from being redirected, forwarded, left unattended, released without a signature, or delivered to an address different from an approved transaction address.
Depending on the value and circumstances of the transaction, we may also recommend or require an alternative secure delivery arrangement.
Specific security requirements, if any, will be communicated to the purchaser as part of the private acquisition process.
12. Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers should inspect delivered products promptly after receipt.
For high-value collectible acquisitions, purchasers should examine the package and item promptly and notify The Scholars’ Treasure as soon as reasonably possible if there is evidence of shipping damage, tampering, missing contents, or a material discrepancy between the item received and the transaction description.
Any specific inspection period or notification requirement applicable to a private acquisition will be provided as part of the transaction-specific terms before completion of the acquisition.
13. Damaged Shipments
If an order arrives materially damaged during shipment, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at info@thescholarstreasure.org.
Please retain the item, shipping carton, internal packaging, labels, documentation, and all other shipping materials until we have reviewed the matter.
We may request photographs of the exterior packaging, shipping label, internal packaging, damaged area, and product to assist in evaluating the issue and, where appropriate, filing a claim with the carrier or insurer.
Please do not discard packaging or return a damaged high-value collectible without first receiving instructions from The Scholars’ Treasure, as doing so may affect the ability to pursue a carrier or insurance claim.
14. Lost Shipments
If tracking information indicates that a shipment has been lost, substantially delayed, or has stopped progressing through the carrier’s network, please contact us so that we can investigate the shipment with the applicable carrier.
A carrier investigation or insurance claim may be required before an appropriate resolution can be determined.
Where merchandise cannot be delivered or fulfilled, refunds, replacements, or other remedies will be handled in accordance with applicable law, our Refund & Returns Policy, carrier or insurance procedures, and any transaction-specific terms.
15. Packages Marked Delivered
If tracking information indicates that a package has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please first check the delivery location, household members, building staff, mailroom, neighboring delivery locations where appropriate, and any delivery photograph or notice provided by the carrier.
If the package still cannot be located, contact us promptly so that we can review the available information and determine whether a carrier investigation may be appropriate.
Resolution of a delivery dispute may depend on carrier records, signature confirmation, insurance coverage, delivery documentation, applicable law, and the circumstances of the particular shipment.
16. Refused and Unclaimed Shipments
If a shipment is refused, repeatedly unavailable for delivery, or otherwise returned to The Scholars’ Treasure because the recipient did not accept or claim it, additional shipping or handling charges may apply before the item can be shipped again.
Refund eligibility for refused or unclaimed shipments will be determined in accordance with our Refund & Returns Policy, applicable transaction-specific terms, and applicable law.
17. Shipping Delays
We make reasonable efforts to ship online orders within the timeframe communicated during checkout, on the applicable product page, or otherwise provided with the order.
If we are unable to ship merchandise within the promised timeframe, we will address the delay, any required customer consent, cancellation options, and refunds in accordance with applicable law.
If no specific shipping timeframe is provided, orders will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements governing online merchandise orders.
18. International Shipping
International shipping may not be available for every product, destination, or private collection acquisition.
When international delivery is available, the purchaser may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, value-added taxes, handling fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country or applicable authorities, except where those charges are expressly included in the transaction.
International purchasers are responsible for determining whether an item may lawfully be imported into their destination and for complying with applicable customs and import requirements.
Customs processing may delay delivery and is outside the direct control of The Scholars’ Treasure.
19. Shipping Restrictions
We reserve the right to restrict shipping to certain countries, regions, addresses, freight-forwarding services, mail-forwarding services, or other destinations when reasonably necessary because of carrier limitations, insurance requirements, fraud prevention, legal restrictions, security concerns, or the nature or value of the item.
We may also require an alternative delivery arrangement for a high-value private acquisition when ordinary parcel delivery is not reasonably appropriate.
20. Taxes, Customs, and Import Charges
Applicable sales taxes collected through the Website will be displayed during checkout when required.
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, value-added taxes, and similar destination charges may be assessed separately by governmental authorities or carriers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise as part of the transaction, such charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.
21. Changes or Cancellations Before Shipment
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@thescholarstreasure.org.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests received before an order has entered fulfillment or shipped, but we cannot guarantee that an order can be modified or canceled once processing has begun.
Private collection acquisitions may be subject to separate cancellation provisions established in the transaction-specific terms.
22. Risk of Loss
Risk-of-loss provisions applicable to ordinary retail shipments will be governed by applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.
For high-value private collection acquisitions, responsibility for risk of loss, insurance, carrier selection, delivery confirmation, and transfer of possession may be expressly addressed in the transaction-specific written terms.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
23. Returns
Shipping a product back to The Scholars’ Treasure is governed by our Refund & Returns Policy.
Please contact us before returning an item so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.
High-value collectible writing instruments should never be returned without specific written authorization and shipping instructions from The Scholars’ Treasure.
24. Third-Party Shipping Carriers
The Scholars’ Treasure may use independent third-party shipping carriers and logistics providers to transport merchandise.
While we select shipping services based on the needs of the applicable order, carriers operate independently and maintain their own delivery procedures, service limitations, tracking systems, and claims processes.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers with legitimate delivery issues involving an order placed through The Scholars’ Treasure.
25. Consumer Rights
This Policy describes our general shipping and delivery practices and does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
Where applicable law provides protections greater than those described in this Policy, the applicable legal requirements will control.
26. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy periodically to reflect changes in our fulfillment practices, shipping services, products, Website features, or applicable requirements.
The version of this Policy applicable at the time of purchase, together with any transaction-specific terms, will generally govern that transaction except where applicable law requires otherwise.
